Talk:Chris the Hacker
Where do we get his specific religion as "fundamentalist Christian"? (I might have missed it in that yarn) I do see him talking a lot about Creationism, a single God, and he gives some respect to the Bible, but how to apply all the concrete criteria that come along with "fundamentalist Christian" is unclear. In fact, that one blog used as a reference is mostly a polemic directed at Christianity. Which is fine--that's what blogs are for. But I think it's a mistake to base any kind of editorial expository on it. 184.108.40.206 03:42, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
Vietnam War Vet?
I would think Chris's claims of having served in the Vietnam War would be easily falsifiable---I don't believe he's old enough. He was born in 1957, and the Vietnam War's official end was 1975, when he was 18---he could've joined right out of high school, but it's unlikely he was deployed as the U.S. was preparing to exit. At the very least, he couldn't have served more than a few weeks, and even then not likely in combat. I believe that Chris probably was in the Armed Forces at some point, but I can almost guarantee you he made up the Vietnam bit to intimidate (or impress) a caller. 220.127.116.11 00:30, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
