The Co-Op Bank Lady is a British employee, named Sam, of a co-operative financial establishment who was called with the Chinaman soundboard by Channeltwentythree. Throughout this call, she constantly asked for an account number (pronouncing it “num-ba”). Due to Chinaman’s thick accent, she could not make out the questions to spell her name.

She was later turned into a soundboard by IsThisARecording, which has been used with moderate success in several other prank calls. There are no less than ten different lines asking for or referring to the account number in question.

The original caller, Channeltwentythree, was apparently unaware of the victim's popularity for over two years. On June 28, 2013, he made a call to the Co-op Bank Lady's workplace using her soundboard.
